Management of the Principles and Practice for Risk Assessment

This 2 day programme will give a detailed description to the main areas of risk assessment as part of a management system.

Background

Employers are legally required to identify and determine health and safety systems, which are appropriate to their own workplaces. One of the most important systems is risk assessment.

Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations employers have a legal duty to make suitable and sufficient assessment of risks to the health and safety of employees and all those who may be affected. A properly implemented risk assessment programme will help determine necessary controls to eliminate or reduce risks and assist effective business management. Risk assessment plays an important part in staff commitment and business success as it promotes improved standards of health and safety throughout the organisation.
